About the Role
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Industry: Airline
Shift: 40 hours/week shift (including morning, night, weekends and holidays)
Compensation: $19.00 - $22.25/HR + benefits
Job duties include:
Oversee cargo handling conducted by all contractors in an efficient manner and ensuring company’s instructions, policies, and requirements are followed
Act as a lead in charge for the Ground Handling Companies
Ensure all regulations concerning operations are enforced and updated
Support all other cargo operation departments as needed
Directly aid customers in the case of operational irregularities and/or information
requests
Perform any other duties as requested by management
Prepare reports as necessary
Act on behalf of Supervisor when required
Perform any other duties as directed by management
Requirements
Associates degree required
Minimum of 2 years of Cargo Operations experience is required
Or any equivalent amount of education and experience
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
Strong computer skills, proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Excellent organizational skills
Willing to work any hours/shifts/holidays (including night shift), and outside in
inclement weather
Must have a driver’s license
Must be authorized to legally work in the U.S. (no VISA sponsorship provided)
Must pass 10-year employment background check
